CHAKHURE Trek

At the end point of every trekking season like every time to travel to any new place or, to link their uniqueness and attraction with the tourism sector, a travel is prepared. With the same time in March or April, 2015 my journey starts from Rukum, Chourjhari, jajarkot, future touristic Chakhure Lake to Jumla and Jumla- Rara to Bajura Kolti where our journey takes rest. In reality, although tourism carries its little influence from Jumla- Rara to Bajura, the tourism at Jajarkot- Jumla had not been felt outward. The reason behind it was that the citizens thought that there is no Himalays in Jajakot but, the reality was that a view of Himalayas from Chakhure pass of jajarkot was very difficult to fill the pages of a diary with its own naturally; the description of which is like describing Rampuri in front of heaven.

When we reached Jajarkot after crossing Bheri  River from Rukum- khalanga and to a touristic Sisne Himal was just in front of our eyes then on the second day from Panchkatiya, we moved towards Kailash pass  and to Shilpa pass then to Narsimhagada. By then Sisne Himal received darkness and we started entertaining at Narsingada. Leaving Narsinggada, we moved towards Nayakwada the village which has fine possibility to become a touristic village in the near future. By taking 1 hour walk from Nayakwada we reached at place called Daha, the place which emerged when landslide blockade the water; finally received the name, where small and good hotels were also available where our stay and food taking was really sound. On the next day we were together along with the villagers who were in search of Mushroom & herbs in the area and, reached Narchour, Radhechour and to Tumti, where no villagers or shepherds used to be staying for the night. When only the snow from the Chakhure melts then only villagers used to be living at Tumti but, there used to be dense snows on March - April sowhile, shepherds and merchants were to wait till April in order to cross pass and were in dilemma of crossing pass for now. When I read the Topographic map, the total height of Chakhure was 4200 m and received snows almost whole the year. Besides, being a professional climber, I could cross pass but, my friend could have problem. I had a normal shoe of Gold star brand but, when my only friend was enthusiastic to trek first time on a snowy area we just started our journey at 3 am night from Tumti and ascended the hill and reached pass nearly at 9 am.

But, before to reach pass, she remained restlessness and started saying now she is dying  and just laid down on the ground. I also felt that if i have taken decision mistakenly because, if there is going to be any trouble with my wife then who was going to take care of my children. But, without any frustration, I started safety met for her providing her water to drink, I carried her heavy bag on the ways and reached Chakhure Pass. Then only we received time of a very fine rest.Although i had climbed high pass like that of Chakhure for many times but, the feelings received at Chakhure is unique from the rest because, from this low elevated mountain whole the Kanjirowa Range can be viewed and the sights are very attractive. It’s not only a description of Chakhure himal, the feeling are afresh just before arriving Chakhure Pass. Silent and shaddy forest where Rhododendrons and lekali trees being intermixed will make us very alone and in addition wild birdsadded sweetness to our broken cords. The hotel business in the Tumti lowland has fallen down so, we ate only instant noodles so, when we reached Chakhure we felt hunger more and more but we had little snack that we had kept by my wife's sister at Jajarkot; eating on the way we moved forward with the zoomed sights of Jumla, Napani, and Manigaun. When we reached Napani our heart started cheering because, the soil topology of Jumla and Jajarkot is different and much attractive.Reasoningbeing much tired, we decided torest at Napani although it was 12 O' clock because, the hotels here were very clean and the hotel owner was also experienced enough to pull customers. Also, we felt like our own house, where along with shipping of alcohol under the sun and, had enough chats. I felt that my friend was also very happy because she was experiencing of new life after defeating death on the challenging way.

On the next day crossing Jumla Karnali, we reached Jumla after Gothichour and where I felt Jumla really a nature gifted. Every house is made up of beautifully arranged stones. On the paths stones have been arranged. On the top of the market, a mini airport locates whose location and point is very definite. Arriving at Jumla my journey was made really wonderful with the heartfelt description of the place by my dearest friend Gopal KC, I phoned him. He congratulated me once again along with good luck for me. On my two days stay at Jumla, I met two brothers; Kal Bahadur Bhandari & Bir Bahadur Bhandari, where I felt as if i am at my own house because, in the past years, we had worked together in an office. After 2 days, on the next day with a view of reaching Rara taking Chiyachour- danphenangla, we slept on the bed then, in the next morning we had goat meat and red rice as a breakfast very happily since this item was very delicious but, which on the road provided a little feeling of hot and, uneasy on the way. When we reached a place called Khali after crossing Danphenangle, the villagers had just cut goat and were frying intestine and, the blood. They asked us if we can eat these items. We also received their welfare to feed upon these items along with little alcohol. Now, again with a new energy of walk with a view of staying night at Neurigad, we started our journey from Khali. After staying at Neurigad on the next morning with an objective to reach Jhyari we moved forward and, after having lunch we followed the way to Sinja - Humla- Gamgadi and as we were little tired of walking we got on the local village tractor and clearing the snows we did not go towards the way to Jhyari but to Talcha Airport. After stay at this airport, we reached Rara Lake nearly in hours, arriving where we forgot all our difficulties we received on our paths. Along with fun at Rara, we played Deuda dance and recorded visuals on the mobile set. One surprise thing about Rara was that there were not any houses except the army camp. I came to know that in the previous time, the Panchayat System led by late king Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev had shifted settlements at one corner of Karnali district and, which finally gave a place to Royal Rara National Park. After 2 days stay at Rara Lake, once again i thought whether to return back the same way or to extend more 3 days to go Bajura- Kolti and finally Nepalgunj. To return back to Jumla had more ups and downs so, I had choosen to go more 3 days to reach Bajura- Kolti and where in the middle received visit of 3 Karnali River's Holy water. Thinking in mind about to leave Kolti, the junction of Mugu, Humla and Bajura and reach Royal Khaptad Hunting Reserve, the only Hunting Reserve of Nepal from Badimalika but, did not attempted it since we had very limited time and, taking Kasthamandap Airways I arrived Kathmandu following Nepalgunj in the air-route.  Spend some days in ktm; also shared difficult time of the Massive Earthquake that hit 7.8 Rachter Scale magnitudes on 25th April, 2015, in Nepal where I had shared a difficult time with my friends and brother of my locality.
