Churen Himal (7,371m), lies in the western part of Nepal to North of Dhorpatan and west of Dhaulagiri. Churen is the border peak of Myagdi & Dolpo. It is a part of Jaljala area and an ultimate destination for die-hard nature lovers who want to explore the untouched, unseen and unexplored beauty of nature and wildlife along with unique culture and lifestyles of isolated Magars, Chhetris and Chhantyals living in the wild valleys. The trail is filled with varieties of orchids, and faunas like blue sheep, ghoral, serow, Himalayan thar, black bear, pheasant, patridge and endangered species of red panda and cheer pheasant too; along with many rivers, fast glacier streams and majestic Himalayas. The offbeat tracks, rugged terrain and beautiful natural diversity add to the highlights of this trek.

The trek is more attractive for those exciting with mountains having height above 7000 m. Mt. Churen from south face at its neck region mysteriously links to a picture of a man who would be wearing a cap, a tie; being eyes and nose marks distinct.

You will get to charter along the rugged tracks of Dhorpatan hills that are about 3500m to 4000 m above sea level. The months of March to May and August to November are favorable duration to explore Churen.

ChurenHimal consists of 3 major summits – Churen Himal main (7,385m), ChurenHimal east (7,371m) and Churen Himal west (7,371m). You need to be physically fit and mentally strong enough to explore the Churen trail and touch its peak. No previous climbing or trekking experience is required.
